Before the app, there was a cave wall.

A long, long time ago, on planet Earth, there was a guy obsessed with tracking his belongings. By firelight he scratches one tally mark for every shell he owns, until his cave wall runs out of room. One morning a hand reaches out of nowhere holding a phone. He pays for it the only way he can: he scratches his tally mark into a black clay tablet and hands it over. The phone wakes up, and the app icon is his own mark, with every shell he ever counted in a single number. Making managing finances simple again. He gave us the mark. We gave him the app. True story.
